Essential Care Support Services

The Wendellman Foundation essential care services program is designed to support individuals living with serious mental health conditions and PTSD. Our programs offer compassionate, trauma-informed care that fosters healing, stability, and independence. Through personalized support, access to critical resources, and opportunities for skill-building and community connection, we empower participants to regain confidence, manage daily life, and pursue long-term wellness in a safe and nurturing environment.

In addition to professional services offered, we welcome in-kind donations—such as meal preparations, hygiene kits, clothing, and other essential items—that directly enhance the daily lives and well-being of the individuals we serve.

Providing Essential Care for Those in Need

In-kind donations provide direct, tangible support to individuals by supplying essential items and services instead of monetary contributions. For a program like the Wendellman Foundation, these donations play a vital role in enhancing daily life and promoting independence for individuals living with serious mental health disorders, PTSD, or those re-entering the community after incarceration.

Essential care contributions we welcome include: nutritious meal preparations, clothing, personal care and hygiene items, household essentials, and educational or recreational materials. These resources help ensure that participants have the basic tools and support they need to maintain stability, foster well-being, and actively engage in their healing and recovery journey.

Meal preparations or food supplies – ensuring proper nutrition for those who may struggle with cooking or access to healthy meals.

Clothing and footwear – helping maintain dignity, personal hygiene, and comfort.

Hygiene kits and personal care items – supporting daily self-care and health

Digital Technology and Inclusion ensures that individuals have access to the tools, resources, and training needed to navigate today’s digital world. By providing devices, internet connectivity, and technology education, our program empowers participants to communicate, access information, and engage in online learning and services—reducing digital barriers and promoting equity, independence, and social inclusion.

Household essentials – such as bedding, kitchen supplies, or cleaning products to create a safe, livable home environment.

Educational or Activity Materials – like books, journals, art supplies, or recreation items that promote skill-building, creativity, and mental wellness.

These donations directly enhance quality of life, promote independence, and relieve financial and logistical burdens for individuals living with serious mental illness, PTSD, or those re-entering the community after incarceration.

Dedicated to Care, Support and Lasting Wellness

Many individuals facing serious mental health challenges, PTSD, or social and economic barriers lack access to essential resources that support daily living, independence, and recovery. These donations—such as meals, clothing, hygiene products, or technology—directly address critical needs, reduce stress, and promote stability, dignity, and well-being. They fill gaps that monetary support alone cannot always cover, ensuring participants can fully engage in programs, maintain their health, and build the skills necessary for long-term self-sufficiency

Your donations have a tangible and meaningful impact on the lives of individuals living with serious mental health disorders, PTSD, or other challenges. By providing essential items and services—such as nutritious meals, hygiene products, clothing, or digital tools—these donations help meet immediate needs, promote physical and mental well-being, and reduce stress and anxiety. They also foster a sense of dignity, inclusion, and community, enabling participants to engage more fully in programs, maintain independence, and develop life skills. Over time, in-kind support contributes to improved stability, increased social connection, and enhanced overall quality of life, creating measurable outcomes in health, recovery, and personal empowerment.

Our team works tirelessly to ensure that every individual receives the care, support, and resources they need to live safely, build independence, and achieve lasting wellness. We are committed to fostering dignity, hope, and empowerment, providing personalized guidance and meaningful opportunities that promote mental, emotional, and social well-being
